The History of Wall Panels
Wall panels originated in the 16th or 17th centuries and were first used as an alternative covering for internal walls. They could cover a multitude of ‘sins’ and at the same time act as a good insulator. Later wall panelling developed and were constructed in some very fine woods, including mahogany. Mahogany wall panelling can be seen in may of the worlds most famous historical buildings.
Still today mahogany wall panels are used in prime and exclusive developments. They are easily incorporated into a more modern design of building producing that wonderful mix of traditional and contemporary.
